Girl Scouts are Helping Too

The Girl Scouts and Wigs for Kids have partnered to spread the word about donating ponytails as well as provide information about Wigs for Kids. Troops can help organize cut-a-thons, encourage fundraising activities and earn patches with a donation of a ponytail and $2.50 per patch requested (all requirements must be met). We encourage your troop to become WFK ambassadors to come up with a creative way to build awareness.

WISH LIST: You Can Help

You can make a difference.

Your support of Wigs for Kids will allow us to continue to provide complimentary hair replacement systems to eligible children at no cost to them. The cost of one custom hair system is $1,800- $3,000. We cannot continue to provide these systems without the generosity of caring individuals who support our organization.

Volunteer

Volunteers make it possible for Wigs for Kids to help children look themselves. Your hard work and dedication enables us to continue to provide hair replacement systems to children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation treatments, alopecia, burns, or other medical circumstances.  Wigs for Kids is looking for volunteers who can . . .

Sponsor A Child... TODAY

If you have ever wanted to make a difference in the life of a child, the Adopt-A-Kid Program is for you.  When children lose their hair they often lose their self esteem, you can help lessen the trauma of hair loss for a child.

Caring for Children

When children lose their hair, whether as a result of medical treatments, health conditions, or burn accidents, they don't just suffer physically. The change in their appearance can drastically undermine their self-image and sabotage their self-esteem. To combat this additional trauma, Certified Cosmetic Therapist Jeffrey Paul founded Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1980.
