Girl Scouts Volunteer And Donation Program
Girl Scouts of the USA has partnered with Wigs for Kids to promote our mission by helping children regain their confidence after illness causing hair loss. It is the goal of this program to provide young women and girls with the opportunity to get involved by learning more about the illnesses that cause hair loss and being able to make a difference through volunteering, fundraising, donating hair and salon outreach. Those who choose to participate can request a patch, for a small fee, to wear proudly as a symbol of their philanthropic contribution.
Girl Scouts can earn a Wigs for Kids patch by completing one or more of the following:
- Donate your ponytail (12″ ponytail requirement) to help a child in need.
- Host a fundraiser
- Run a cut-a-thon
- Encourage salons in your area to sign up with our Affiliate and Ambassador Salon Programs
- Sponsor a child. Creatively encourage awareness to the Wigs for Kids program assisting with fundraising in support of our children in need.
- Volunteer opportunities and days of service are always available at Wigs for Kids Headquarters in Westlake, Ohio
You can set up your own fundraising page here to share on your social media, accept online donations and track your groups fundraising progress! We sincerely thank you for your support and efforts in “Helping Children Look Themselves and Live Their Lives”!
