If you’re interested in donating hair for kids, choosing an organization can be challenging. There are many great causes out there. Wigs For Kids is a nonprofit organization that helps children suffering from hair loss by gifting wigs made of real, natural hair. We never charge the families for these hairpieces. We rely completely on donations from generous companies, foundations, groups, and individuals like you. Our company was founded in 1981, making us the first organization to create these unique hair replacement systems. Over time, we have enhanced our program to effortlessly guide recipient families through the process. It all starts with a Certified Service Provider who measures and fits a custom cap for each individual child. Using these measurements, a hairpiece is then created in a state-of-the-art facility where hairs are hand-tied into the prosthesis. Finally, the Certified Service Provider fits and styles the new wig for the recipient child. Each hair replacement system requires 18-20 ponytails. If you have at least 12 inches of healthy, uncolored hair, please consider making a hair donation. Visit the link below to gain further information on the process.
The cost of one hair replacement system is $1,800, but we never charge the family in need. Donated funds help cover the expense of creating the hair replacement system, as well as help us pay for products, services, and support. Please consider making a monetary donation at the link below.
