At just 17 years old, Landon made a powerful and selfless decision. He chose to donate his hair to Wigs For Kids and help restore confidence to a child facing hair loss. Landon’s generosity is rooted in love, compassion, and personal experience, and we are honored to share his story.
Landon was inspired to donate his hair after witnessing his younger brother, Lane, bravely battle cancer. During countless visits to Texas Children’s Cancer Center, Landon met children from all over the world, learned their stories, and saw firsthand the joy and courage they carried even during their toughest moments. His journey was shaped deeply by both hope and heartbreak, including the loss of Lane’s best friend, Austyn, who fought cancer alongside him. Through it all, Landon saw how meaningful small acts of kindness can be, and he wanted to be one of those acts.
With the support of his mom cheering him on, Landon chose Wigs For Kids because of our commitment to families. Knowing that we provide natural looking hair replacements at no cost to children during some of the most difficult moments of their lives made the choice clear. For Landon, it was important that his donation help ease the burden families are already carrying.
When asked what he hopes his donation means to the child who receives it, Landon shared from the heart:
“I just want them to smile, to have joy and feel confidence!!! To Feel strong!“
Those words reflect exactly what Wigs For Kids strives to give every child we serve.
