Sir Trent’s Hair Donation: A Gift Fit For a Young Hero

August 12, 2026

Every hair donation tells a story. Some donations celebrate milestones, some honor loved ones, and others come from individuals who simply want to make a difference in a child’s life. Recently, we were honored to receive a truly memorable donation from Trent Lintzen, known to many as “Sir Trent,” a professional medieval performer, horseman, and competitor on American Ninja Warrior Season 17.

Through his social media presence as @the.knightninja, Trent shares his passion for adventure, athleticism, and life as a modern-day knight. But beyond the armor, obstacles, and performances, Trent recently chose to make a difference for children experiencing medical hair loss by donating his hair to Wigs For Kids.

More Than a Hair Donation

For children facing hair loss due to conditions such as alopecia, lupus, cancer treatments, or other medical challenges, hair loss can affect much more than appearance. It can impact self-esteem, confidence, and their sense of normalcy during an already difficult journey.

There is a quote bubble behind her that shares her experience as a direct quote. It reads, "Alopecia was a very hard thing to go through. I uses to cry every night as clumps and clumps of hair would fall out. I love my wig. Not only is it beautiful, but it keeps my head warm! Thank you so much for mu wig!"

Hair donations are vital for our mission. Each ponytail donated helps us create high-quality, durable hairpieces that allow children to feel more comfortable, confident, and like themselves again. Financial support and hair donations make it possible for Wigs For Kids to continue providing these services to children and families at no cost.

At the top, text reads “Restoring CONFIDENCE since 1981.” The cycle begins with a child experiencing hair loss and the caption “A family requests hair for their child.” Arrows lead to a hair donor with the caption “Donors Grow and Give,” then to a stylist measuring and trimming hair with the caption “Stylists Guide the Process.” Next, supporters are shown funding hairpiece creation, followed by a child wearing a hairpiece with the caption “Confidence Restored.” The Wigs For Kids logo and slogan, “Helping Children Look Themselves and Live Their Lives!” appear in the upper right corner. Teal decorative wave patterns frame the top left and bottom right corners of the graphic.

A Message for the Children We Serve

What makes Trent’s donation especially meaningful is the special message he included for the child who may one day benefit from his gift:

Image of a hand-written note on stationary menat to look like an old scroll. It reads, "Hello there! My name is Sir Trent, and I donated this hair so it could help you on your adventures. I hope it brings you strength and confidence just like it did for me. My horses Cadete and Raul are cheering for you too! Fare thee well, Your Highness."

Those words perfectly capture what we love most about our donors. Hair is a generous gift, but encouragement, kindness, and hope can be just as powerful. We know the child who receives Trent’s donation will feel the care and support behind every strand.

Every Child Deserves Confidence

Whether they dream of being a knight, an athlete, an artist, or anything else they can imagine, every child deserves the opportunity to face the world with confidence. Donations from individuals like Trent help make that possible.

As someone who has challenged himself on national television and dedicated himself to mastering physically demanding performances, Trent understands the importance of strength and perseverance. His decision to share that strength with a child in need is a wonderful reminder that heroes come in many forms.

Thank You, Sir Trent

From all of us at Wigs For Kids, thank you, Sir Trent, for your generosity, compassion, and support of children experiencing medical hair loss. Your donation will help a child regain confidence, and your message will remind them that they are strong, brave, and never alone on their journey.

Together, through hair donations, financial contributions, and community support, we can continue helping children across the country feel comfortable, confident, and ready for their own adventures.

Your Support Matters

While hair donations like this make confidence-boosting hairpieces possible, financial contributions are equally critical. Monetary donations help fund the meticulous creation of each hairpiece, cover materials and production costs, and ensure that children receive their hairpiece at no cost to their families. For many children facing medical hair loss, this support provides comfort, confidence, and a sense of normalcy when they need it most.

By choosing to give, whether through hair, financial support, or both, you help ensure that more children get to experience hope, joy, and confidence.

At Wigs For Kids, we are honored to witness stories like this — where caring individuals come forward to create new opportunities for some incredible kids.
