Rylie Shares Her Wigs For Kids Story

September 27, 2018

Rylie Shows off Here Hair from Wigs for KidsIn December of 2017, I started losing my hair. It started as a bald patch on the side of my head, but then grew into much more. I didn’t know how people around me would react, but I decided to be open about having Alopecia. I missed my hair, and the wig that I had, felt very itchy on me, so I never wanted to wear it. I was self conscious about it, but then found a love in modeling and embracing it.

“Even though I was getting better at accepting I had it, I still missed my hair.”

We found Wigs for Kids and we applied for me to get a wig! They were amazing throughout the entire process, and when I got my wig, it was the happiest I had been in a long time! I finally looked like my old self, and I was able to do all the hairstyles I used to do before I lost my hair. It truly helped my self confidence, and I can look in the mirror and see myself again.

“I got my wig, and I was the happiest I have been in a long time! Thank you for giving me hair again, it’s so beautiful. The first picture is when I saw it on me for the first time.”
