Wigs For Kids is pleased to welcome stylist Rosa Morales as a Hair Donation Specialist, harvesting ponytails for donation, and as a Certified Service Provider, working directly with recipient families in the measuring and styling of the hairpieces. Rosa is the owner of Nashville Blonde in El Paso, Texas.
Rosa has been in the hair loss industry for over 15 years. She is a cranial prosthesis specialist committed to helping individuals feel rejuvenated and confident. She is building a community founded on love, respect, and authenticity. Rosa and her stylists strive to help each client shine in their own unique way, which aligns perfectly with Wigs For Kids’ mission.
Throughout her career, Rosa has worked with many children and adults experiencing hair loss. There are many reasons for hair loss that extend to both children and adults, such as stress-induced hair loss, alopecia, skin conditions, and hair loss from chemotherapy and other medications.
In working with these clients, Rosa offers advice focused on understanding and acceptance. “Many people face similar struggles, and hair loss is more common than one might think. I encourage them to embrace and love themselves as they are, reminding them that being human in more than just a physical appearance. It’s about the beauty of their souls.”
Rosa also shares, “There are so many choices available that can help them express their personal style. I suggest exploring a range of coping options, such as wigs, hairpieces, extensions, scarves, and toppers. Additionally, I stress the importance of self-care and self-acceptance, emphasizing the need to focus on the aspects of themselves that they love and to celebrate their unique beauty.”
Rosa decided to partner with Wigs For Kids to enhance the resources in her local community. She shares, “Many families in need face significant challenges in accessing the support they require, particularly when they are unsure where to begin their search.” Wigs For Kids is able to provide beautiful custom-fitted hairpieces created from donated hair, but we need amazing stylists such as the ones at Nashville Blonde donating their time and talent to offer support services to recipient families. Together, Wigs For Kids and these incredible stylists work to rebuild children’s confidence so they can feel a sense of normalcy during difficult times.
Rosa has worked with many hair donors, and shared that the majority of her donors have been young men. She shared one particularly memorable donation experience with us. “[There was a] young man who came in to donate his long hair in support of his parents, both of whom had faced cancer at different points in their lives. He wanted to give back, and he believed even a small gesture could change someone’s life, enhancing not just their appearance but also their spirit. He grows his hair out and donates it once a year. It was incredibly moving to witness his dedication. This experience highlighted how hair donation can create meaningful connections and foster community support during challenging times.”
Nashville Blonde is in the process of building a donation mural, composed of the handprints from hair donors and hairpiece recipients. The goal is to form the shape of a heart, showing the love and support she in building in her community.

Rosa shares that working with children experiencing hair loss is not an easy task, but it is extremely rewarding. “Supporting these children and their families requires a great deal of emotional sensitivity. It’s essential to consider their feelings and tailor our approach to each individual child in order to gain their trust. We are there to assist them not only with the physical aspects of customizing their wigs, but also to ensure that our environment feels safe, allowing them to express their feelings, needs, and wants.”
“At times, finding the right words can be challenging and emotional for everyone involved, but the experience is ultimately very rewarding. While it can be tough, it also paves the way for meaningful connections, and personal and professional growth — that is something not a lot of people get the privilege to experience.”
Rosa’s salon is a little slice of Nashville in El Paso. Her salon is influenced by the rich culture of country music and the timeless values embodied by icons like Dolly Parton. Rosa and her stylists work together to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that celebrates individuality and self-expression.
The effects of her work can be felt around the El Paso community. Rosa shared, “Since partnering with Wigs For Kids and spreading the word there has been a rise in hair salons in our area who have joined this beautiful community. We are only one hair salon — can you imagine if we could have more salons and more hairstylists volunteer with Wigs For Kids, how many more lives we could change!”
