Mariah has been a long-time hair donor for Wigs for Kids and wanted to make an even greater impact with her gift of hair. She created the Hair Heart Project to raise awareness about making a hair donation and the requirements to be a donor.
She successfully gathered seven of her friends to donate their hair, and partnered with Natalie Ozzimo, owner of Bellizzimo Beauty to cut donor’s hair. Along with hair donations, Mariah collected funds to offset the cost or producing a wig. Through her efforts 26 ponytails were donated and over $1,200 was raised.
Natalie shares Mariah’s passion for supporting children in need and believes in the transformative power of giving. Their collaboration ensured that every donor received professional care and attention throughout their journey of giving.
Mariah shared, “Together with our sponsors and donors, we can make a beautiful difference by transforming lives one strand at a time. Impacting children’s lives, helping them to feel beautiful and empowered during a challenging time.”
