Nancy Kurfurst, a long time stylist with Wigs For Kids, supports Wigs For Kids with her salon Wig Allure Hair Loss Center in Lake Grove, NY both as a Hair Donation Specialist, harvesting donation ponytails, and as a Certified Service Provider, working with recipient families for the fitting and styling of hairpieces.
But Nancy’s work supporting Wigs For Kids goes beyond her salon doors. Recently, in celebration of her 65th-and-a-half birthday, she hosted a Birthday Bash Beach Party in Pompano Beach, Florida. At this event, she was able to raise an incredible $2,900 for Wigs For Kids, which fully funds more than one hairpiece for a child experiencing medical hair loss.
Milestone celebrations are great way to raise awareness and funds for our mission. Fundraisers like Nancy’s help Wigs For Kids to provide hand-tied hairpieces to children experiencing medical hair loss at no cost to their families. Each year, we help hundreds of children regain their confidence while dealing with medical issues.
