Meet Karsen, a 15-year-old with a big heart and an even bigger head of hair. This is actually the second time Karsen has donated his locks—the first one being as a cut-a-thon donation that his hometown, Cherokee, is known for and does annually.

It all started during the pandemic, when haircuts weren’t exactly a priority. As his hair grew longer and longer, Karsen and his family realized those awesome locks could be put to good use. Instead of just cutting it and throwing it away, Karsen decided to donate it to help children who have lost their hair.

Karsen doesn’t have a big, dramatic story behind his donations — he simply wanted to do something kind for someone else. That’s just who he is.

When he’s not growing out his hair for a cause, Karsen enjoys running cross country, playing golf, and hanging out with his dog, Abbie-Jae.
Karsen’s generosity proves that you don’t need a special reason to make a difference — sometimes, it’s enough just to want to help.
