Friends and family of Gianna wanted her to know that hair does not define who you are. To demonstrate their support they donated their hair. They wanted Gianna to know that whether she had hair or not she is beautiful!

Gianna began to experience hair loss at the young age of two. Within three years she had total hair loss. This occurred as she was getting ready to enter kindergarten. Jennifer, her mother, was worried about how the children at school would react to Gianna, so she contacted parents and explained the cause of her hair loss.
Her mom relayed, “No one treated her differently, friends and family showed their support through their own hair donations.”
Gianna worked with a Certified Service Provider for Wigs For Kids, Michi at The Hair Specialists. Michi guided Gianna through the process of preparing for and receiving her wig.

Jennifer’s words of advice to parents of children facing adversity,
“Take care of your child’s feelings and make sure they know how beautiful they are. No one should make them feel less than that.”
