Alexa’s mom says, “Back-to-school prep is a little different. Alexa received her new wig from Wigs For Kids, so she had a very special appointment for a cut and style! If you don’t know, Alexa has Alopecia. This occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles which creates sudden hair loss. This condition affects each person differently and we do not know what Alexa’s journey will be like.
People constantly ask me if her hair will grow back. If you don’t know, I’m a person who likes to do lots of research and likes answers. The unknown has been the most difficult part for me to accept.
Alexa is so confident and her confidence has made this journey so much easier on me. I am so proud of her and so blessed to be her mama.”
