Putting the FUN in Fundraising: The Hard Part Men’s Grooming

February 18, 2026

In South Carolina, stylist Larah Jackson is making a meaningful impact for kids across North America. Since 2023, Larah has partnered with Wigs For Kids at her salon, The Hard Part Men’s Grooming. She supports our mission in two powerful ways: by harvesting ponytails from generous hair donors as a volunteer Hair Donation Specialist (HDS), and by working directly with recipient families as a Certified Service Provider (CSP).

This holiday season, Larah and her team took their dedication even further by hosting a Pie In the Face Fundraiser. Throughout November and December, stylists invited their clients to donate to Wigs For Kids, and the stylist who raised the most would get “pied” by the rest of the team!

Larah raised the stakes even more, promising if she won, every stylist on her team would get to throw a pie at her.

Their enthusiasm paid off. Together, they raised over $2,700! Their original goal was to raise $1,800 – enough to cover the production cost for one of our hand-tied hairpieces. We are truly amazed by their commitment and results!
