Specialized hair products were shipped along with your hairpiece. Please take your hairpiece, the specialized hair products, and a printed copy of the Approval/Acceptance Form with you to your final consultation with the stylist. This form can be found in our resources center or by using the link below.
Fit, cut and style. Your stylist will begin by placing the hairpiece on your child and checking the fit of the hairpiece by the temple area and in the back for bulk. They will cut the desired hairstyle using appropriate techniques and tools for thinning, layering, feathering, and framing. If desired, your stylist will style the hairpiece using proper styling products.
Review. Your stylist will go through the haircare brochure that was shipped along with your child’s hairpiece.
Demonstrate. Your stylist will show you how to properly care for and maintain your child’s hairpiece using specialized hair products, including:
Complete and sign off. You (parent/guardian) and your stylist will complete and co-sign the Approval/Acceptance form.
Note: Wigs For Kids strongly discourages last minute cancellations of stylist appointments.Only particular hair products can be used to increase and maintain the longevity of the hairpiece. These products are provided complimentary (at no charge) for the first time with the delivery of the hairpiece. They are designed specifically for these hairpieces. They are gentle and rich in nutrients, which the hair strands need to remain healthy. We strongly encourage you to work closely with your stylist and take advantage of their extensive skills, experience, training, and guidance. The final Fitting/Styling consultation is critical to successfully introducing daily use of the new hairpiece with your child. Learning how to care for, maintain, and style the hairpiece will ensure that your child fully benefits from its use—and that your family is able to maximize the value of this life-changing gift.
