Impact Report 2025
Jeffrey and Zina Paul have been building self-confidence and self-esteem in children! When illness impacts a child's appearance with hair loss they work with a team to restore beauty from within!
Their team of volunteer professional stylists work with families and hair donors to serve children with cancer, alopecia, trichotillomania, burns and other medical conditions.
All it takes is the right stylist volunteer with the right shears to support a hair donor and a family in need of their professional support.

As more children face medical hair loss, Wigs For Kids continues to grow to support them in their times of need, helping families cope with the challenges that come with childhood hair loss by providing a new wig each year until recipient reaches the age of 18, or hair loss no longer persists.
Our hand-tied hairpieces (which average $1,800 per child annually) are provided free of charge, because we believe no child should ever have to pay to feel and look like themselves. This year, we served 1,079 children, more than doubling the number from 2023, showing the need of more funds to help create these free of cost wigs!

Hair loss in children can result from a variety of medical conditions, but no matter the cause, Wigs For Kids is here to provide FREE hair replacement systems!

In 2025, we saw a decrease in recipients facing hair loss due to alopecia, but an influx of childhood cancer diagnoses.

Hair Donors Generously Give Of Themselves
Each hair replacement system requires 25 – 30 qualified ponytail donations, and the costs of the process and production of the hairpieces are over $2,000 at this time. Our recipients also receive the gift of maintenance products with each hairpiece that is provided. For some of our recipients that means a hairpiece from age 5 to age 18.

Minimum hair donation requirements demonstrate the commitment and generosity of donors. The required minimum length is 12″ (14″ is preferred), hair cannot be colored or chemically treated.
Wigs For Kids has a network of hair stylists throughout the U.S. and Canada who cut donors’ hair.
They share their talents with our donors to ensure every donation meets our requirements.

Cut-A-Thons And Fundraisers Fuel Our Work!
Turn what you love into support for those who need it most.
Across the globe, amazing supporters of Wigs For Kids host creative fundraisers that bring awareness to our mission and provide real help to children and families in need.

Supplement brand Force Factor partnered with Wigs For Kids for a TikTok Super Brand Day promoting their Hair Growth Accelerator Soft Chews, with 10 incredible hair donors donating their hair live on stream.
For every purchase made during the live stream, 20% of sales were donated to Wigs For Kids.
The results were inspiring. $7,000 was raised during the live event, but Force Factor decided to GROW their impact and donate $25,000 to our organization, enough to fully fund 13 hairpieces for our incredible kids!

The 2nd Annual Vibe Salon Winter Event was a tremendous success! Over 250 attendees enjoyed dinner, dancing, casino games and a curated fashion show at the Riverton Country Club. Organizer Jillian Palestina ensured the event was full of good vibes and great hair. Thanks to their efforts they raised $7,500 benefiting Wigs For Kids.
Wigs For Kids Recipient Avyrl was a model in their fashion show and shared her hair loss journey with those in attendance. Vibe is currently planning their 3rd Annual Winter Event for March of 2026.

Wigs For Kids volunteer stylist Keri Polisak organized her 4th annual Show & Shine Car Show in Reno, Nevada.
The event featured vintage and hot rod cars, a 50/50 raffle, music, food and fun for all! Ninety cars registered for the event and over 100 attendees enjoyed the festivities. Keri and her team raised an amazing $6,500, enough to sponsor more than 3 hairpieces for our recipients!
Wigs For Kids recipient Ellie is very involved with the event each year and presents a special trophy that is named in her honor.
Keri has been Ellie’s Certified Service Provider for several years now, and has watched her grow up and become a confident young woman!

What began as a fun afternoon catching up with friends has turned into a meaningful tradition supporting Wigs For Kids. In 2025, Kevin Dooley organized the 5th annual bar‑crawl fundraiser in the Houston area, bringing the community together for a great cause.
Participants showed their spirit by wearing brightly colored wigs and shirts featuring QR codes, making it easy for local bars and restaurants to donate at each stop along the route.
More than 100 attendees joined in, raising over $8,000 during a day filled with fun, friendship, and generosity.

Since 2010, Sasy Scarborough, Mel Vanbeek and the Hair Fair Committee have chosen Wigs For Kids to be the beneficiary of their annual charitable event called Hair Fair.
Hair Fair is an annual, multi‑region virtual expo within the online platform Second Life, bringing together hair creators, accessory designers, artists, and residents from around the world. A portion of every sale during the two‑week event was donated directly to Wigs For Kids, with total donations exceeding $11,000.
We’re deeply grateful to the organizers, creators, and residents of Second Life who make Hair Fair possible each year. Their creativity and generosity create real‑world change for the children we are honored to serve.
