Wigs For Kids helps children all across the country feel beautiful again after losing their hair from cancer, Alopecia, and other devastating illnesses and conditions. What many people don’t know is the organization started with just one little girl.
Founder and CEO Jeffrey Paul thought he had hit the top of his career, traveling all over the world doing hair for celebrities. What more could he ask for? Then one day, his niece who was suffering from Leukemia said, “Uncle Jeff, don’t let me go without hair.”
Wigs that fit kids’ heads weren’t around at the time, so Jeffrey worked with doctors and prosthetics experts to create a hairpiece that would withstand activities like playing and running around. When his niece completed her gymnastics meet with her new hairpiece successfully intact, Jeffrey knew in that moment that he was going to start helping people without hair feel and look beautiful inside and out.
Thirty-five years later, Wigs For Kids is a world-renowned organization, receiving hair donations all around the globe to help children who have lost their hair.
