We are honored to be the beneficiary of the 22nd Annual Judy Maple Golf Classic, happening at Spring Hills Golf Club in East Springfield, Ohio on June 27th.
Judy Maple passed away on April 14, 2000 after a battle with colon cancer. She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was passionate about giving back to the community and helping those in need.
To celebrate her legacy, the Judy Maple Foundation was founded in 2005 by Judy’s six children, Cindy Maple, Dave Maple, Jr., Kevin Maple, Criss Maple, Steve Maple, and Jennifer Bash.
The foundation provides service to the community through various financial donations scholarship opportunities. Each year, the Judy Maple Foundation awards a scholarship to an outstanding Edison Local High School senior. This student most exemplifies the qualities Judy always felt to be most important — being a positive role model by demonstrating sportsmanship and community service.
Funds raised at the event will support Wigs For Kids’ continuing work of providing free-of-charge hairpieces to children experiencing pediatric hair loss. A portion of the event’s proceeds will also be used to continue The Judy Maple Memorial Scholarship Fund and their Holiday Giving Program.
Representatives from Wigs For Kids will be at the event, sharing information about our mission and the children we are honored to serve. After all rounds are completed, there will be a dinner and raffles. We hope to see you there!
