Friday May 2, Kathy's Cuts Benefitting Wigs for Kids

Kathy’s Cuts 2025 is the 16th anniversary of the event in support of Wigs For Kids.

In 2008 Kathy Romano, co-host of the 93.3 WMMR morning show decided she wanted a shorter hair style, but she also wanted someone else to benefit from her hair. And so it began — she enlisted the help of stylist Joe Kaub, owner of Gravity Hair Salon in Warbler, PA to cut her hair live on air. Her generosity inspired others to join her, and this was the beginning of Kathy’s Cuts, an annual Cut-A-Thon benefiting Wigs For Kids.

WMMR listeners are invited to book an appointment to donate their hair (14 inches or longer) and receive a brand new cut from one of 16 of the area’s best stylists.

This year, the event will be hosted at TruBeauty Concepts: 109 Street Rd, Southampton, PA 18966.

Kathy will be broadcasting LIVE from TruBeauty throughout the event. Coffee and refreshments will be provided by Dunkin’.

Each donor will receive a thank you gift bag from TruBeauty Concepts. Each donor will also get a Kathy’s Cuts t-shirt from Preston & Steve.
