Supporting Wigs For Kids

This year marks a major milestone — the 20th annual Hair Fair event in Second Life. Since 2010, Hair Fair has proudly partnered with Wigs For Kids, raising crucial funds and awareness to support children experiencing medical hair loss. Each year, creators, organizers, and residents come together to make this virtual event a meaningful celebration of community and generosity.

How Hair Fair Gives Back

Every purchase made at Hair Fair directly supports our mission:

Participating creators donate from 15% to 100% of every sale to Wigs For Kids.
Hair Fair committee items, including Hair Fair Bandanas and the beloved Hair Fair Hares, donate 100% of proceeds.
All kiosk donations throughout the event contribute 100% to Wigs For Kids.

Thanks to this incredible support, more children receive specially created free‑of‑charge hairpieces that help restore confidence and hope.

Visitors can explore six beautifully designed regions filled with exclusive creations made just for the event. This annual gathering highlights the talents of many of Second Life’s hair, accessory, pose, prop, and animation creators, all joining together for a shared cause.

At Hair Fair, you can:

Browse a wide selection of unique hair and hair accessories, clothing, props, poses and animations created especially for the event.
Purchase limited‑time items that support children in need.
Donate directly at Hair Fair kiosks—100% goes to Wigs For Kids.
Pick up Hair Fair Bandanas or Hair Fair Hares, which donate 100% of the purchase price.
Connect with fellow residents and experience one of Second Life’s most cherished community events.

Although Hair Fair takes place inside the virtual world of Second Life—and all purchases remain in‑world—the impact extends far beyond it. Every contribution helps children receive the hairpieces they depend on throughout the year.
