Nathan began growing his hair in 2021, inspired by his experiences as a special education teacher and his mother’s battle with cancer. “I’ve seen firsthand the impact hair loss can have on children,” he explained.
Determined to make a difference, Nathan not only donated his hair but also launched an online fundraiser to maximize his impact — raising over $1,800 in support to cover the production costs of a hairpiece for one of our recipients!
Staff and students were surprised when Nathan came to school without his long hair, but were proud to learn it was all for a wonderful cause.
Using the Wigs For Kids fundraising platform, Nathan shared his story and offered friends and family a way to contribute.
