Meet Brave and Glamourous Zaynee!

September 17, 2025

Zaynee is 6 years old and loves Hello Kitty, Gabby’s Dollhouse and Disney Princesses. She has a brother, a sister, and six cats. She’s obsessed with KPop Demon Hunters and likes to play Roblox.

On Christmas Eve of 2024, Zaynee was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL), a type of cancer that affects your blood and bone marrow. She has been in and out of the hospital undergoing chemo, punctures, biopsies and steroid courses, but remains strong and always glammed up!

With their world turned upside down, Zaynee’s family looked for anything that could help provide comfort to Zaynee during her treatments. Through an online search, they found Wigs For Kids, and learned how through our recipient program, Zaynee could regain the hair she lost through treatments, and at no cost to her family, thanks to the generosity of our hair and financial donors.

Once they were accepted into our program, the family was paired with volunteer stylist Donna Beeba of Donna’s Suite. Together, they took measurements for Zaynee’s hairpiece and selected the length and color they wanted it. Once the hairpiece was ready, the family returned to Donna for a styling appointment, which was magical day for Zaynee.

Her mom Angel shares. “We came home from the hospital on Monday, saw Donna on Tuesday, and Zaynee had the time of her life! She walked out to the car with me and said, ‘I feel so pretty mommy,’ and she kept playing with her hair the whole car ride.

“I loved that Donna was just as excited about doing it as Zaynee was about getting it. That made the experience more magical and fun — not just for Zaynee, but for all of us in the room.”

Donna shares, “I love my job and if we can make a child smile through all the trials they have been going through, then we achieved something far more meaningful than just hair. I always rewatch the videos from Hair Loss University, they’re extremely helpful. Of course I like to add a bit of sparkle, a touch of magic and a lot of love to my appointments.”

Every ponytail and every dollar donated, helps kids like Zaynee share their inner sparkle with the rest of the world.
