Each and every day, Wigs For Kids relies on the generosity of volunteer professional stylists across the country, whether they are working directly with recipient families, or harvesting ponytails. They share their time, talent, and expertise to make life better for kids dealing with hair loss. Each year, more and more families apply for our services, which are always provided at no cost to them. This means our need for hair donations, financial donations, and stylists to help our kids also continues to increase.
When you become a Certified Service Provider or a Hair Donation Specialist, you become part of our mission to help children look and feel like themselves again. Hair loss in children damages self-esteem, which can negatively impact every aspect of a child’s life. Our team is dedicated to building relationships with the families we serve and working together towards the shared goal of restoring each child’s hope and happiness.
Certified Service Provider (CSP) stylists work directly with our recipient children. They meet the families prior to hairpiece creation to take measurements and determine the proper cap size, hair length, and color for the hairpiece. After the hairpiece has been created, they meet with the families again to perform the cut-in and styling. All along the way, they provide support, expertise, and comfort to the children we serve.
Hair Donation Specialist (HDS) Stylists work with hair donors to maximize the impact of their donation. They ensure all ponytails meet our requirements so they can be transformed into hand-tied hairpieces specially created for each recipient child.

Being a part of Wigs For Kids has been a complete joy! I fell in love with the organization because Wigs For Kids creates this glow around them and you just want to be a part of this glow!

I believe that my journey as a Cosmetologist has led me to be a part of Wigs For Kids because I am able to make a difference in my community and surrounding areas just by doing what I love!
I grew up in a family that was involved in always giving back. I want to help Wigs For Kids further their mission of serving children with medical related hair loss. Giving back to others is very important to me.
