The Order Processing stage is composed of three steps:
- Reviewing the Measurement Form for accuracy and completeness. Our Order Processing staff is specifically looking for any inconsistency in measurement. It is critical that the measurements and cap size are associated correctly. In addition, we will review all special requests.
- Placing an order for your child’s hairpiece. If the Measurement Form appears correct and complete, the staff forwards the document to our Hairpiece Specialist. This individual works with the manufacturers assisting with producing Wigs For Kids hairpieces. We will place an order with the selected manufacturer for your child’s hairpiece. Our expectations for order processing and fulfillment varies per manufacturer. Current supply lines, which have been severely impacted as a result of the ongoing pandemic, also affect the timeline.
- Receiving the hairpiece and examining for quality assurance purposes. The manufacturer will ship the hairpiece to Wigs For Kids Order Processing Department. We will then carefully examine the finished hairpiece to make sure that it meets the expressed needs of your child.
Wigs For Kids makes every effort to keep operating costs low, so the majority of our finances can go toward creating and maintaining children’s hairpieces. Our order fulfillment process is not automated. In other words, we do not have an online system for ordering hairpieces. When we place an order, we submit a physical copy of your Measurement Form to the manufacturer. Therefore, orders are normally filled in approximately four months. However, this has reached beyond one year at times.
