Meet a Wigs For Kids Recipient: Cara

January 27, 2021

This week, we’re thrilled to introduce you to 8-year-old, Cara, a Wigs For Kids hairpiece recipient. She loves pizza and Minecraft—and spending time with her older brother, Cole.

She’s been a student of the month and loves soccer, scrapbooking, roller skating and all kinds of music.

Here’s a few questions we asked her:

What does this hairpiece mean to you? “It means a lot… I get to look like other kids and style my hair.”

Who do you look up to? “My mommy. She works in the hospital during COVID and takes care of the family when she is home.”

What is your wish for the world? “I wish for this world to be a better and safe place to live.”

Every day, our team is virtually meeting children like Cara. We’re so thrilled of this work and the lives we can make a difference in, and because of donors and friends like you, all of the hairpieces are gifted to children and their families at no cost to them.

If you’d like to sponsor a child like Cara, please click here. The child you sponsor will receive a Wigs for Kids Hair Replacement System designed specifically for them. Your sponsorship will cover their Hair Replacement System as well as products, services and support, and allow them to face the mirror – and life – head-on.

Thank you for being part of the Wigs For Kids family!
