Meet a Wigs For Kids Recipient: Sheridan

March 30, 2021

Meet 16-year-old, Sheridan, Wigs For Kids Recipient!

One of the children served by Wigs For Kids is 16-year-old, Sheridan. When we got to know her, the first thing that we noticed was her unwavering smile. She is cheerful and loving—and we are so proud to welcome her to the Wigs For Kids family!

Sheridan has two siblings (Hi, Cierra, and Martin!) and sings in her church choir. She also plays tennis and loves the Gilmore Girls and playing Clue. When we asked what makes her smile so brightly, she said, “seeing friends.”

Here are a few questions we asked her:

Q: Who do you look up to?

A: I look up to those young women bold enough to go without a wig.

Q: What does the hairpiece mean to you?

A: It means that I can feel beautiful!

Q: What is your wish for the world?

A: I wish for acceptance, for everyone to embrace difference.

We also connected with her stylist and Certified Wigs For Kids Affiliate, Kim M. Gray from Kim M. Gray Studio. She said, “This is my why! Thank you, Wigs For Kids for always putting kids first! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this.”

Because of donors and friends like you, we’re able to continue to support children like Sheridan. To learn more about becoming a monthly donor, please click here.
