Hair Cuts For A Cause

August 4, 2021

Meet Mila Tash, stylist at Bold Embrace Hair Studio, who first heard about Wigs For Kids while researching hair donation organizations.

Due to the nationwide closure during the pandemic, Mila found herself out of work and unable to serve her clients. Through this difficult time, she wanted to find a way to give back to others struggling. “We all win that way,” Mila says. Mila decided to join the Wigs For Kids Hair Donation Specialist Program because she was eager to contribute and help children in need.

When her community began opening up again, she began receiving at least one client donation cut a week- men, women, and children equally, with all types of hair textures. She enjoyed seeing the excitement on the donor’s faces after seeing their new haircut.

Mila lives her life fueled by creativity and prides herself in keeping up on top-tier education. When meeting donors, she’s thrilled to educate them on the best methods to grow their hair out for donation.

“I was so grateful for the educational experience I found on the Wigs For Kids website,” shared Mila. “I was set up for success in such a beautiful way. From the explanation of hair sectioning to other processes of hair donations, it made my decision to become a Hair Donation Specialist simple.”

When asked what Mila sees for the future with Wigs For Kids, she mentioned hopes of hosting a Cut-a-thon. She also hopes to work directly with hairpiece recipients after being approved as a Certified Service Provider through the Hair Loss University program of Wigs For Kids! The process of styling the hairpieces with the children who receive them excites her, but she’s eager to help the organization in any way possible.

Those who decide to donate their hair through Mila at Bold Embrace Hair Studio will receive a free service during their next appointment! To learn more about their salon, visit their website here.
