Wigs For Kids (WFK) partners with Hair Loss University to provide top-tier education for stylist partners. We prioritize training for our Affiliates to ensure the children we serve receive a world-class experience when they receive their custom-fit, hand-tied hairpieces.
Today, we are proud to be featuring one of our partner Affiliate salons, Dolls and Beaus, in Dallas, Texas.
Dolls and Beaus is owned by Veronica Lizarraga, who became a WFK Affiliate in 2017 and told our team she “fell in love with the values at WFK, because they never charge children or their families for a hairpiece.”
Veronica has always believed that being a hairstylist is not just about hair, but it’s about the people. At her salon in Dallas, she receives five to seven client hair donations per week.
“I’ve never experienced a comparable moment than seeing a child’s eyes light up when they receive their box of goodies and most importantly, hand-tied hairpiece,” states Veronica.
Although each story adds to her honor of being a WFK Affiliate, Veronica shared a special moment she had recently with a mom of a child, Monique, who came in with her daughter, Naddia. The mother-daughter duo asked Veronica to shave their heads to donate it all to WFK. Monique explained she was starting chemotherapy soon and wanted her hair to go to a good cause. When she told her daughter the plan to share her head, Naddia asked to donate in support of her mom. It was a sweet moment of one person’s hair loss, becoming a blessing.
At WFK, we are honored to have partners like Veronica at Dolls and Beaus and hear incredible donation stories like those of Monique and Naddia. To find out more about Dolls and Beaus, please their website at dollsandbeaus.com.
