Generosity Knows No Age Limit: Jayce Gives the Gift of Confidence

June 8, 2026

At just 5 years old, Jayce has already shown what true compassion looks like.

Inspired by his mom, Ashley, who donated her hair to Wigs For Kids in both 2020 and again in 2024, Jayce decided he wanted to make a difference too. After watching his mother give back to children experiencing hair loss, he knew he wanted to help another child feel confident, strong, and seen.

Growing his hair out was not always easy.

Because of his long hair, Jayce was sometimes bullied and even mistaken for a girl. But despite the comments and challenges, he stayed committed to his goal. He understood something powerful at a very young age: his temporary discomfort could help bring comfort and confidence to a child facing medical hair loss.

With courage far beyond his years, Jayce made the big decision to go from long hair to a full shaved head, donating more than 12 inches of hair to Wigs For Kids.

His journey is a reminder that generosity does not depend on age. It comes from empathy, kindness, and the willingness to care for someone else.

Children experiencing hair loss often struggle with confidence and feeling different from their peers. Donations like Jayce’s help Wigs For Kids create hand-tied human hair replacements for children at no cost to their families, restoring not only hair, but self-esteem and hope.

Large text on the image reads, “I’m so excited to be able to go out in public with this realistic hairpiece and feel confident without worrying about people staring at me!” The quote is attributed to Annabelle, age 15. The Wigs For Kids logo appears near the bottom left corner.

Jayce’s incredible act of kindness proves that even the smallest hearts can make the biggest impact.

From all of us at Wigs For Kids, thank you, Jayce and Ashley, for your compassion, courage, and continued support. Your generosity is helping children everywhere feel more confident, more comfortable, and more like themselves again.

Your Support Matters

While hair donations like these make confidence-boosting hairpieces possible, financial contributions are equally critical. Monetary donations help fund the meticulous creation of each hairpiece, cover materials and production costs, and ensure that children receive their hairpiece at no cost to their families. For many children facing medical hair loss, this support provides comfort, confidence, and a sense of normalcy when they need it most.

By choosing to give, whether through hair, financial support, or both, you help ensure that more children get to experience hope, joy, and confidence.

At Wigs For Kids, we are honored to witness stories like this — where caring individuals come forward to create new opportunities for some incredible kids.
