The Girl Scouts and Wigs for Kids have partnered to spread the word about donating ponytails as well as provide information about Wigs for Kids. Troops can help organize cut-a-thons, encourage fundraising activities and earn patches with a donation of a ponytail and $2.00 per patch requested (all requirements must be met). We encourage your troop to become WFK ambassadors to come up with a creative way to build awareness.

Your help in spreading the word about Wigs for Kids will help us let children in-need know we are here for them. Thank you!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Where:
Some assistance is needed at the Wigs for Kids office at 21330 Center Ridge Road, Ste 26 Rocky River, Ohio 44116

Patches/Badges:
Girl Scouts can earn the Wigs for Kids patch by completing one or more of the following:

1. Donate 12" or more of hair. Print out Hair Donation form off our site under the Donate Your Hair section, then click on Hair donation information.  That will provide you with all the requirements. There is a form on the second page of the document you can print out and mail in with your ponytail.  If you are interested in a patch at that time, please indicate and include payment.
2. Run/organize a cut-a-thon or a fundraising event (bake sales, jewelry etc.)in support of Wigs for Kids.
3. Encourage salon sign-ups to become a part of the Wigs for Kids Team to cut ponytails for donations, and even become certified in helping our beneficiaries in providing measurements and cutting/styling of hairpieces for our kids across the country.
4. Open mail band and sort hair donations if you are local to the Cleveland area .
5. Creatively build awareness throughout your community about the Wigs for Kids program.
6. Join us in volunteering for our Fundraising Events - Zoo Walk, Golf Outing, Gala.

Note : The Wigs for Kids office can assist with materials on cut-a-thons and salon affiliate sign-up information.
