When children lose their hair, whether as a result of medical treatments, health conditions, or burn accidents, they don’t just suffer physically. The change in their appearance can drastically undermine their self-image and sabotage their self-esteem.
As a hair professional, you can give these children the chance to feel good about themselves again. Children who are unable to travel to the Wigs for Kids center for a consultation and hair system fitting can visit your salon instead. In exchange for your time and services, we provide you with the necessary tools, guidelines, and techniques to properly fit, style, and maintain a child’s hair system. Without your assistance, Wigs for Kids would not exist. We rely on talented hair professionals like you to properly cut the ponytails that are donated to Wigs for Kids and to cut the hairpiece in for a child. This is a wonderful way to help the children in your community. You can get involved with Wigs for Kids by becoming an Ambassador or an Affiliate. |
