Steven's Story

Dear Jeffrey:

Words cannot begin to explain how thankful I am for you and the Wigs for Kids organization. You enabled Steven to start the first day of second grade looking and feeling like all of the other second-graders.

I went to the first Home and School meeting of the year yesterday and Steven’s teachers were telling me how quick Steven’s mind is and how they loved the way he participates in class. He even had the confidence to teach his music teacher a dance in music class.

Miraida's Story

Dear Jeffrey Paul and Christine,

Thank you so very much for providing my student, Miraida, with the beautiful hairpiece. I am so completely grateful to you both for making Miraida look so much like her usual, Attractive self again. Her chemotherapy treatments, while hopefully helpful, left this young 12 year old girl with hardly any hair on her scalp.

It was so difficult for her at school, when some thoughtless students would make fun of her. She was at the point where she wanted to drop out of school.

Michael's Story

Dear Jeffrey Paul:

About 15 years ago you helped a six-year old boy who was going through radiation and chemotherapy because of leukemia. Mike got leukemia when he was four and did fine until the age of six when he went out of remission. He underwent a big series of radiation treatments. He lost his hair, was extremely ill, and doctors told us if he lived he may not ever have children.

Hannah, you see, had a heart as big as the moon. She was not only beautiful on the outside with her long bright red hair and sparkling green eyes, she was beautiful on the inside as well.
