Dear Jeffrey:

Words cannot begin to explain how thankful I am for you and the Wigs for Kids organization. You enabled Steven to start the first day of second grade looking and feeling like all of the other second-graders.

I went to the first Home and School meeting of the year yesterday and Steven’s teachers were telling me how quick Steven’s mind is and how they loved the way he participates in class. He even had the confidence to teach his music teacher a dance in music class.

When I first got to the meeting, I picked up my gym clothes order for Steven. I opened the bag and saw a school ball cap, which I ordered for Steven last spring. I was choking back tears, thinking about how blessed I am that Steven does not have to get special permission to wear the cap all of the time in school, and more importantly, that he does not have to hide behind the cap all of the time.
